Yahoo Buddy Down
In a perfect world all the networks, AIM, Yahoo, and MSN would all run on XMPP. Unfortunately, that’s not the case and IMified is at the mercy of the networks we run on. Except of course Gtalk/Jabber which do run on XMPP. In any event, because you guys are being uber productive using IMified on Yahoo, they’ve taken our buddy down. If your wondering “why would Yahoo take down a service that their users obviously want to use?”, we’re working on getting that answer. So far we’re confident we have removed any future issues with AIM as we are in the process of signing a network agreement with them and are also working on the same with MSN/WLM. We’ve got some calls and emails into Yahoo and are waiting on a response. We’ll let you know whats going on as soon as we know.

I just found this and… it’s the most innovative thing I see on the web in years! Great job guys. More power for you!

Bummer that Yahoo! doesn’t want to play with IMified anymore. I’ve logged in via Jabber to maintain my productive streak. It would be great if I could merge all of my IM accounts into one IMified account. I’m new to Jabber, but I know that Yahoo!, AIM and MSN all go down occasionally.
Keep up the great work. This tool is fantastic, I’m your latest evangelist. I’m telling everyone I know about your service.

That is the problem with proprietary protocols like Yahoo.
ANYONE can use Jabber/XMPP. There are plenty of Messengers with support multiple protocols if you really still have friends on yahoo. Migrate them to Jabber. For freedom !

Thanks for the update. Good to know you’re working on this. Still using the Jabber part of the service, linked to the same stikkit account, but hoping you get Yahoo back soon so I can access it via WAP.

Thanks for the support and understanding. We’d love nothing more to get back to integrating cool services and new features. Staying alive on these networks is very draining.
